Pastor Derreck Henry Sr.
Pastor Derreck Henry Sr. has been the Pastor and President of Open Door Fellowship Inc. since the inception of the ministry opening its doors at the Wingate Inn Hotel in Voorhees, N.J.
Later, the ministry was led of the Lord to move to its present worship facility at Garwood Plaza in Erial, N.J. as a full-service ministry. He is the husband of one awesome wife (Kimberly) and the father of two wonderful children (Brittney and Derrick the 2nd), and third child (his daughter-in-law, Brittany), as well as the grandfather of two lovely grandchildren (Brooklyn and Khai).
Pastor Henry was born the youngest of eight siblings to Ronald Sr. and Patricia Henry on June 26, 1968, and attended William Cullen Bryant Elementary School. He later went on to Hamilton Middle School and graduated from the Creative and Performing Arts High School of Philadelphia. He attended college at Temple University in Philadelphia with a major in Business Management. He also attended Camden County College with a degree in Ophthalmic Science of the Eyes and has worked in the Black Horse Pike Regional School district for six years, teaching, coaching, and mentoring young men and women.
Pastor Henry is a visionary of Pastoral Leadership as well as entrepreneurship, as he has been self-employed since the age of 23, with startup businesses in commercial and residential power washing that employed over 10+ employees. Later to a successful Real Estate Business Brokering Sales Business, to his current business of a Real Estate Investment Company that hires many subcontractors. Through his leadership he has helped and encouraged others to graduate from college and has encouraged others to create their own startup businesses.
The most important business to Pastor Henry is his calling to the ministry in which many of all ages and walks of life have received Christ and have been saved under his preaching and teaching through the years. Pastor Henry served for many years as a vocalist on the choir, bass player, and organist for his church. Pastor Henry once served his organization as the youth President of the Eastern District Council and the Vice President of the Greater Pennsylvania State Council, only the second person in the 100+ years of history of the council to hold both positions simultaneously. He tries his best to meet the needs of others, visit the sick and shut-in, help the poor, and all who are in need as a humble servant of the Lord!
